I have always loved to restore, refurbish, restyle, repurpose, and reuse not just old furniture but also the decor within a home. I always loved painting & drawing and that evolved into sewing with my Mom & bricklaying/carpentry with my Dad. By using both common & unique items, my creations are not only useful, but fun and one of a kind. A little about me...
I am a rebel at heart. My pieces are inspired by my passion to create items that are unique and when you see that one piece, you "just know." I lack a fear of failure because people are so unique, you can always paint the world happy for at least one person at a time. I believe there is so much to learn from the past and you can acquire knowledge by hands on learning...which is why I love to teach and share with others.
What inspires me...
The outdoors, being comfortable in silence, experiencing emotion simply through feeling it, breathing new life & love into items. 46+2 are just ahead of me.
What I'm dedicated too...
Being a positive role model for my children and instilling morals, responsilbility, & pride in my children. Loving life & living a life I love. Too spread as much love & positive vibes into the world as my Mother did when she was still here.
What I believe...
Learn as much as you can about as much as you can. Enjoy a simple life and don't get caught up in the rat race of life. Do not regret growing older as it is a privilege denied to many. Like the pieces I work on, everything has flaws in some way. But no strong person had an easy past. God has graced me with another day & seeing my children smile...and with allowing me to keep writing chapters in my life before my book has been closed.
